Master the Best Weapons for PvP Combat in Arc Raiders

Player-versus-player combat in ARC Raiders is faster, less predictable, and far more punishing than PvE encounters. Instead of fighting predictable ARC enemies, you face real players who flank, strafe, bait shots, reposition, and punish your mistakes. This makes weapon choice especially important, with burst damage, time-to-kill, handling, range, mobility, and magazine size all playing a major role.

Because PvP is dynamic, weapon balance differs heavily from PvE. Weapons with slow reloads, long animations, or predictable patterns perform worse, while those with strong burst damage, fast target acquisition, and good mobility can dominate. Some guns that are merely "decent" in PvE become top-tier in PvP due to their ability to break shields, stagger players, or win close-range engagements quickly.

Our PvP rankings also take weapon economy into account, just like our PvE tier list. Crafting costs, material rarity, durability, and how expensive a weapon is to replace all matter when deciding whether a gun is truly worth bringing into a raid. A weapon might have fantastic stats, but that does not make it the smartest choice if losing it means saying goodbye to a pile of rare materials.

Finally, this tier list reflects the latest weapon buffs, nerfs, and balance changes available at the time of writing. As the meta evolves, some weapons may rise or fall depending on future updates. Whether you prefer aggressive close-range pushes, careful long-range engagements, or a flexible all-round playstyle, this list highlights the weapons that currently give you the best chance of winning your next Raider fight.

This article focuses exclusively on the PvP weapon meta, where burst damage, duel potential, movement, and reaction speed matter far more than sustained DPS or weak-spot targeting. If you're looking for the PvE Tier List, you can find it here: Arc Raiders PvE Weapon Tier List

Detailed Ranking Criteria & Weapon Explanations for Arc Raiders PvP

S-Tier – Dominant PvP Choices

Renegade, Anvil, Tempest, Bobcat, and Dolabra sit at the top thanks to their combination of damage, handling, and ability to win fights at their preferred ranges. Renegade delivers excellent burst and range, while Anvil remains a devastating dueling weapon with high single-shot damage and strong shield pressure. Tempest provides reliable sustained DPS and excellent accuracy, making it one of the safest all-round PvP choices. Bobcat dominates close-range fights with its high fire rate, large magazine, and excellent mobility, while newly added Dolabra stands out with its powerful close-to-mid-range damage and flexible firing modes. These weapons consistently give Raiders the tools needed to control engagements rather than simply react to them.

A-Tier – Strong & Versatile in Most PvP Scenarios

A-tier weapons are highly effective but usually have more noticeable limitations than the S-tier picks. Torrente offers excellent sustained fire and a large magazine, while Aphelion remains a strong option after its reload, fire-rate, recoil, and ADS improvements. Il Toro still hits extremely hard at close range, although its fire rate, reload speed, dispersion, and falloff were nerfed in Update 1.20. Venator remains dangerous despite its previous damage and headshot nerfs, while Canto and Vulcano excel in close-range pressure.

B-Tier – Situational & Outperformed in Duels

B-tier weapons can absolutely win PvP fights, but they require better positioning, aim, or matchup knowledge to compete consistently with the higher tiers. Stitcher is still a solid budget SMG, but its old dominance was reduced by the 1.17.0 nerfs to damage, headshot multiplier, and dispersion. Ferro offers excellent damage for a Common weapon and is one of the best economical choices for players who do not want to risk expensive gear. Arpeggio provides reliable automatic fire but lacks the pressure of the stronger rifles, while Osprey can be effective at long range but becomes much less comfortable when fights suddenly get messy. Burletta is usable as a sidearm, although its overall damage and consistency leave it behind the stronger options.

C-Tier – Limited PvP Effectiveness

Equalizer can deal strong sustained damage, but its expensive Legendary status and specialized nature make it difficult to justify compared with more flexible weapons. Jupiter received useful buffs to ADS magnification and equip/unequip times, but its slow firing cycle and highly specialized long-range role still make it a situational PvP pick. Bettina benefits from its strong accuracy and sustained damage, with its base fire rate later increased from 235 to 250, but its still mainly a PvE weapon. Kettle lost some of its close-range power after its base damage was reduced from 10 to 8.5, while Rattler lacks the damage and consistency needed to compete with the stronger assault rifles.

D-Tier – Not Recommended

Hairpin remains the weakest conventional PvP option due to its low damage and limited ability to pressure properly geared Raiders. Hullcracker and Rascal, however, are here for a different reason: they are dedicated anti-ARC weapons rather than genuinely weak guns. Their projectiles are designed around fighting ARC machines and do not provide meaningful PvP utility, making them effectively useless when your main target is another Raider.
